Tallinn, Estonia, 28th February, 2022,

BlockWallet is excited to announce the launch of its Web3-oriented wallet solution with built-in privacy features. The BlockWallet browser-based solution is now available for download to anyone and will usher in the next era of interacting with Web3 and the decentralized applications powering it.

The BlockWallet team has been hard at work to build a privacy-oriented non-custodial browser wallet to access the decentralized web or Web3. Although many wallets are on the market today, they often lack privacy, exposing user information to prying eyes. As Web3 is designed to empower users and give them control over their data, that approach must extend to financial privacy.

Blockwallet CTO Iman Hossini states:

“When users interact with Web3, it poses significant risks because now the financial data is also attached to the user. As we build Web3, we should not make the same errors as before but aim to create a truly private Web3 experience. BlockWallet launch is a significant step towards this goal.”

BlockWallet has found solutions to address common privacy issues without compromising wallet functionality. Users can download the BlockWallet browser extension for Google Chrome, Brave, Microsoft Edge, and Opera browsers.

Crucial current and future BlockWallet features include:

  • Privately sending and receiving cryptocurrency without disclosing the balance of the main wallet.
  • Non-custodial wallet approach to ensure users are the only ones who control funds.
  • Convenient access to decentralized applications across multiple blockchains.
  • BlockWallet Proxy lets users privately interact with blockchain applications to avoid unveiling IP addresses and other metadata.
  • Front-running bot protection (sandwich attack prevention)
  • Mask your main wallet address through integrated Privacy Pools (currently only available on Ethereum)
  • Support for Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Avax, Fantom, and Polygon

The public launch of BlockWallet marks a crucial milestone for the team. However, the current wallet version is only a first iteration of what users can expect moving forward. Several new features and developments, including NFT drops, implementing phishing prevention, and more, are in the works.

In addition, the team intends to offer users privacy on all fronts and guarantee an optimal security-focused Web3 experience.

With BlockWallet, users can explore a variety of options, including:

  • Private transfers and ENS Domains
  • Trading privacy
  • Ecommerce privacy
  • Private Gambling
  • And much more!

The BlockWallet solution has gone through a rigorous beta testing round. Over 2,000 community members applied for the beta testing to provide the team with as much feedback as possible. That interaction with our community allows us to introduce crucial features and privacy solutions while maintaining an accessible and easy-to-use interface.

BlockWallet CEO Aleksandras Gaska adds:

“In a world where privacy violations are commonplace, it is imperative to protect your privacy. However, not everyone has the skills or time to do that. I am happy that we can finally present a practical solution for the blockchain world that allows everyone and everywhere to take ownership of their privacy.”

BlockWallet introduced a community bug bounty program through Immunefi in late November 2021. The maximum bounty is $150,000. Initiatives like these confirm the team’s commitment to security and offering an optimal user experience.

BlockWallet raised $1.8 million in its initial funding round in early 2021, noting an oversubscription of 68x. Investors in the $BLANK token private sale include X21 Digital, Woodstock, Spark Digital Capital, Four Season Ventures, and others. The $BLANK token was launched on Polkastarter and currently holds a market cap of over $12 million.

About BlockWallet

BlockWallet is the most private, non-custodial browser extension wallet, where users can store funds and interact with their favorite blockchain applications privately.

As crypto sees mainstream adoption, blockchain’s lack of privacy poses real security risks for newcomers and enthusiasts alike. BlockWallet is here to ensure that on-chain privacy does not lag behind. The wallet provides a set of advanced privacy tools wrapped in a familiar and user-friendly wallet experience, eliminating the friction faced by millions of users and making privacy accessible for everyone, everywhere.

Blockwallet uses battle-tested privacy-enhancing technology to protect user’s financial data. When users make transactions or interact with blockchain applications, the requests are sent through Privacy Proxies by default, concealing the IP address and other metadata, which can be used to identify the user. They can also use the Privacy Pools feature, powered by zk-SNARKs technology, to deposit and mix funds in a smart contract. This allows transferring funds without links to the user’s history and identity on the blockchain, effectively rendering them untraceable.

Anyone can easily install BlockWallet and start reaping the benefits. Besides full privacy functionality, BlockWallet comes packed with an array of features that go beyond privacy for a seamless user experience. With full Web 3.0 support, the wallet allows you to connect to almost any DApp and harness the power of the decentralized web.
