According to the cointelegraph, the American professional baseball team Los Angeles Dodgers will launch a gift based on the encryption player token at the end of this month.
The statement reports that the Dodgers fans will be able to get tokens, representing the Dodgers – to convert to Ethereum (ETH) on September 21 against the San Diego Padres.
During the so-called “Digital Bobblehead Night”, guests will be able to download the markers of pitchers Clayton Kershaw, third baseman Justin Turner and Curaçaoan pitcher Kenley Jansen.
As explained in the statement, the tokens will be distributed according to the point of entry. It is reported that the first 40,000 ticketing fans will receive a card containing a unique code that can be unlocked and transferred to the Ethereum wallet. The character encryption token will be randomly selected, with the shares of Kershaw, Turner and Jansen code being roughly equal.
Lon Rosen, Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President of the Dodgers, commented that the “first crypto giveaway” in sports will allow them to “explore a new market with our fan base” and “excited” to Dodge fans and “ Open a new era of digital collectibles and promotions.”
Earlier this summer, the Sacramento Kings basketball team teamed up with encryption mining provider MiningStore to install Ethereum mining hardware in the indoor arena to pass encryption revenue to the scholarship program.
In early June, Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange, made an undisclosed investment in the blockchain-based e-sports voting platform, providing the sports industry with a “fan-driven token ecosystem of traditional sports teams”.
