Cryptocurrency exchange Binance organized training seminars on cryptocurrencies and blockchain for representatives of law enforcement and regulatory authorities of Ukraine to combat money laundering through digital assets.
Online seminars were held for employees of the cybercrime unit of the National Police of Ukraine (NPU), as well as the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the National Agency of Ukraine for the identification, search and management of assets derived from corruption and other crimes (ARMA). Binance experts talked about methods for detecting and preventing fraud with crypto assets, as well as ways to counter money laundering through cryptocurrencies.
“Cryptocurrency crimes threaten the stable and secure operation of the country’s financial ecosystem. It is important to join forces with regulators to stop cybercrime and terrorist financing,” says Kirill Khomyakov, head of the Ukrainian division of Binance.
Binance has already organized over 30 such workshops for law enforcement agencies from different countries. At the end of last year, the marketplace partnered with the Master Class educational platform to launch webinars on the key principles of blockchain, Web3, decentralized finance (DeFi) and DAO.
Binance recently launched a blockchain education program in Georgia and Kazakhstan to raise people’s awareness of new technologies and accelerate their adoption.
