How Payhip Works
Payhip is an e-commerce platform that enables anyone to sell their work directly to their fans and followers using just a link. You can simply upload your product, enter the price and start selling on Twitter, Facebook or your own website. Payhip takes care of file storage, payment processing and product delivery to your customers.
Here’s an overview of how payhip works:
1. Visit your “Add product” page from your Dashboard page.
2. Upload your product files (max 5GB). Then enter the price, cover image and a description etc.
3. You’ll have a dedicated product page created immediately.
4. Once your customer has completed their purchase, they will be immediately taken to a download page where there can download your product.
5. You will be sent a notification email of this successful purchase and your customer will also be emailed with a link to their download page.
Pay What You Want Pricing
With Payhip, you can set up Pay What You Want (PWYW) pricing. This is a useful feature for if you want to take donations or you want your buyers to be generous when they buy!
All you need to do is type a “+” sign at the end of your price.
For example, if you type “0+” in the price field, this means that your customers can choose any price at all (including free) to pay for your product. If you type “5+”, this means that your customers must pay $5 as a minimum but have the choice to pay more above that figure.
