What is BattleFly?
The Hyperdome is a combat arena, where every few minutes, two BattleFly are selected to auto-battle head to head. To enter the Hyperdome, players must stake their BattleFly with either 5, 10, 20, 50 or 100 MAGIC. Throughout Season 1, when a BattleFly wins a battle it receives a small portion of its opponent’s stake. The effect of this is that slowly, but inevitably, a non-strategic owner playing a poorly equipped BattleFly will see their staked MAGIC gradually evaporate.
Every BattleFly, regardless of trait, rarity and starting Mods, is created with the potential of having a positive ROI; it’s up to the player to find and execute the right strategy to deliver it. The upshot of all this is that they’ve created a game in which there will be winners and losers. While the redistribution of staked MAGIC from under-performing to high-performing BattleFlys happens quite slowly, it is inexorable.
AGIC and TreasureDAO
BattleFly breaks new ground for GameFi projects by building on top of MAGIC, the currency of the connected metaverse. MAGIC was conceived as a free and fair distribution by TreasureDAO, and enables BattleFly to harness the benefits of over $50M in liquidity and a $152m market cap (~US$1.5b fully diluted). BattleFly is one of 20+ projects building on top of MAGIC, creating a vibrant ecosystem of interoperable gameplay.
Using MAGIC builds credibility in your game tokenomics for players, and gives a platform to build a game that can grow sustainably over many years. Players were required to have a small amount of MAGIC in their wallet to receive the free BattleFly cocoon mint, and will stake their BattleFlys in the combat arena with MAGIC.
Players will onboard through the exclusive Treasure Marketplace, which will drive discovery and credibility for BattleFly and serve as an on-ramp for your game. BattleFly will earn 2.5% of all commission fees from the re-sale of your NFTs through Treasure.
Why Choose BattleFly Coin?
In Season 1 of Battlefleet, players will be able to stake up to three T4 and T5 Treasures in BattleFly to slightly increase the drop rate of rare+ mods for themselves and any other players who have BattleFlys in the same server(s). It’s important to note that in order to minimize gas fees, any Treasures that are staked apply to all of the BattleFlys within a players wallet. They are excited to explore this new form of collaborative gamefi play, and are curious to see whether human nature supports it.
In future seasons, BattleFly plans to:
- Link individual mods and treasures 1:1, enabling players to influence the types of weapons and shields they can salvage.
- Enable players to stack treasures within their own Garden servers, and collect Nectar fees from players who wish to enter.
